The emotional turmoil is riveting you will experience love, loss, happiness, family, guilt, laughter, betrayal, contentment and unity. The unexpected alliance will astound you, when combined it will be a force to be reckon with. The dialogue between the main characters as well as the secondary characters was done with precision. The story flowed beautifully forming scenes of different variations. The characters really brought the story alive. I love how funny and crazy Charity acts. I did think there were a couple of places that were a little long winded, but it didn't take from the storyline.
I'm not going to give a long review, just want to let people who are thinking about reading this book it was awesome just like the first was. The two lovebirds have ups and downs but thats love story for you. So looking forward to another story about some of the ones that didn't get their mate yet!!!
I loved this book.
Yes some parts were a little fast but they made the book better.
I got so into the book that when Charity had her dream I started to cry. It was so sad.
I loved how it ended and how everything changed.
Best book I have read since the Transcend Time Saga by Michelle Madow
Well developed storyline, flowed great and was well written. The characters draw you in even more and make you love them even more if that's possible.
Charity Rising, was a roller coaster of emotions, the playfulness that Levi and Charity share I am glad continued into this sequel. A lot happening in this one, would have love to see it split into two books (hate their story came to a end), however DeAnna kept a nice balance with the story line. I hope to see more from Windrake Mountain and possibly a short follow-up of how Levi and Charity are making out. Please keep the POV within the story it definitely adds a different twist on the other characters view of events. A consideration would be to also have an entire version (#1)with one character POV and switch up in a followup(version #2), gives more to your fans ).
So much going on in this book and I liked it even more than Charity Moon. It is full of plot twists, new characters, and more insight into the werewolf society. Charity continues to struggle to find a balance of finding her place in the pack without losing who she is. There is no shortage of action in the second installment of the Charity series. Levi and Charity face foes new and old that threaten to tear their love and family apart. I really love Charity as the damsel in distress, not the cower in the corner damsel, but the fight tooth and nail until she's rescued damsel. She never loses her sense of humor even in the worst situations.
A couple of things I didn't like. I wish there was more involvement from Raven. I loved his character from Charity moon and was hoping there would be more of him in this book. Need more Raven, nuff said. Secondly, I really wish they would put a certain 'dog' down. The guy is such an unlikable jerk but Charity, rarely takes the easy road and true to her nature, gives even the most hopeless cases more chances than a 4 year old at T-ball practice.
Overall great book and I'm looking forward to reading Raven's Rose.
I am an avid reader, sometimes reading 10-12 books in a week when I have the time. I picked up the series on kindle a bit ago and started reading Charity's story yesterday. I have to say that I loved it! Completely loved the entire series.
One thing was completely unexpected for me That is that each book seemed to have multiple climaxes, which I loved! Nothing irritates me more than getting into a book and then realizing that I have reached the climax...which usually means it is about to end! Not that this is the author's fault of course. Most books generally have only one large climax...but I digress.
In Charity Rising, the author's comments at the end mention that she is aware that there is a lot going on in the book and that she could have easily separated this book into two. I am personally very glad she didn't and very pleased with the whole story. 5 stars
